I did extensive keyword and competitor research to properly optimize her pages. I also improved the copy significantly.
I determined that Keely needed a real content strategy to establish thought leadership and industry authority. Part of that strategy was a PR campaign to find her placement in multiple trade magazines.
We also submitted her for the Windows Fashion VISION awards, which celebrate exceptional work in Keely's niche of window treatment design.
I also kept at her local search ranking project by creating an editorial calendar of SEO-friendly blog posts. Through consistency we successfully reached #1 in her local area for multiple key search terms.
This led to increased traffic on her site. She also significantly increased her revenue due to more customers finding her in her local area.
She was tasked with transforming an entire room in 8 weeks and I was tasked with writing and posting about it on her blog and social media each week for 8 weeks on a strict deadline.
Our intention with this project was to grow her Instagram following and her brand authority by getting her posts picked up and circulated by her sponsors and the One Room Challenge organization itself.
Keely's interior design was beautiful, and so were the blogs and social posts. I designed, strategized and executed nearly everything for those blogs and social posts.
I interviewed Keely, designed the structure of each blog so they would be beautiful on their own and in sequence, optimized them for SEO including applicable metadata, handled the formatting and posting and crafted her social posts.
It was a herculean effort for one person, but I pulled it off. Keely is still getting those articles and social posts circulated on Instagram and picked up by various trade publications and other trade-specific social sites.
I wanted to highlight this client as a case study specifically because I believe it shows the imaginative, resourceful and determined approach I take to work I care about.
What I did for Keely I have done and can do for large companies as well. Because of my work with her I understand how to weave a complex but elegant content strategy and execute across multiple channels and in various forms.
for multiple local trade-specific keywords
Helped grow Keely's account from 140 to over 1,200 Instagram followers
including local news, Houzz, Window Fashion VISION Magazine, Sew Much More podcast and Drapery Digital Digest
My written submissions helped Keely win multiple Window Fashion VISION awards, Business of the Year through the El Dorado Hills Chamber and Fabricut's mood board competition
I even designed these business cards for Keely to use at various awards ceremonies and networking events.
My work with her shaped me into the well-rounded anything-is-possible content professional I am today. Thanks, Keely!
